The WoWhead for SW:ToR NDA secure!

This site from browsing looks like it will end up being the wowhead for SW:ToR. It has the Quest, item, talent calc, companion, datacron, crewskills, etc database even that we can search. Right now the site is empty with only a few fake listings to display how it works, but they said as soon as the nda is lifted they will release all the info they have.

I like the look of R2-DB better.

R2-db needs to incorporate more AJAX/JS so you don't have to fully reload the page when you want to browse different subsections of single item

Aww cmon, you don't like the name? It's a play on words! Err, well, letters or something.

We fully support the friendly competition of the fine folks over at swtor-spy.com and look forward to the arms race that will occur once ZAM and Curse throw their hats into the ring for Item Databases!

Which will, in turn, fall to the ultimate might of the "Order of Attorneys for the Lucas Estate" for trademark violations.

If it ever came to that, I'd consider the site a success!

Also, I don't think a court would hold up owning "R2", considering the actual trademark is R2-D2. However, they do have a trademark on SWTOR, Darth, Jedi and many other things you find in the other fansites names.

Yeah, NDA kinda sucks the life outta a DB atm.

Right now most of our uses are just engaged in the Q&A section and reading syndicated news (ala Digg style).

I will sign that petition, please for the love of god give us a DB that is as good as WoWhead.

When I first played WoW i thought Thottbot was the shiz, but WoWhead is a great DB.

Zam, the owners of Wowhead, has a SWTOR website. You can bet that as soon as the game is released a database and all the associated goodies will appear. I used to use Thottbot all the time back in Vanilla and BC, but ya Wowhead is just so much better and cleaner. If they can make a site that is as good as that I will be super excited.

I think I'll be using swtor-spy. It is more appealing visually to me, especially when viewing items. I have to admit, I would love for wowhead to branch off for TOR, or someone duplicate wowhead's setup.

You really should try to come up with a catchy name, instead of nerding it up.

i would throw full support for a Torhead. I LOVE the wowhead site, its DB is very user friendly and easy to search.

Sides I checked ut the other 2 in this thread and am FAR from liking their setups

You know giving the first 2 letter of a quest and saying where you get it is still an NDA breach...

So its breaking the NDA saying hay there are quests in this game? lol

I love how every one says this and that breaks the nda and more than half them are just talking out their buts.

For ex "Jedi ships have 2 engines"
reply "Zomg you broke the nda god will now kill kittens"

It's a given fact that we will be questing and the main site says the names of the home worlds so logically we will be doing quest in said zones and listing the first 2 letters of a quest is also nothing, not like we can know the whole quest name or what it entails like the site says when you click on it all you see is "NDA protected"

That's not breaking the NDA though because they have officially released information about the Jedi Ships, and so that's not protected by NDA. Anything relating to ingame content that hasn't officially been released, even opinions, no matter how vague, are all breaking the NDA.

Do you even know what the nda is supposed to cover?
Everything that should not be know outside of beta without any official info or posted on a press website is NDA protected, even if 99% of the word is censured the 1% is still a breach.
The number of quest in each zone is NDA protected too, no one should know that except a beta tester.

Stop talking out of your butt yourself..

Swtor spy and r2-db are the only two that I know of right now. Only time will tell how many more are added.
