MW3 Your Thoughts on the Game

Overall, I am kind of disappointed with the multiplayer, I'm not here to bash the game, just to see what everyone else thinks about it, sorry if there's another thread already on this. I just think the support strike package is a little overused. EMPS and Stealth Bombers going off once or twice or even three times in 5 mins. MW2 had no where near that many. To me I just die to fast, and get hit markers way to much. Well there's my thoughts. Let's here yours.

I am actually quite disappointed. I suspected it would be a nothing more than a glorified expansion pack for MW2. Unfortunately I was correct.

There seems to be a lot of game lag. My friends and I could have all 4 green bars and still lag in game (ie. I get hit markers but when watching the kill cam, I didn't touch enemy team player at all). My one friend has well over 300 assists. Seems a little excesive for just hitting lvl 80.

MechWarrior 3 was an awesome game... I don't know what you're talking about. A new 3d engine for it, 20 missions with 18 mechs, and the Mobile Field Bases... Not even getting into how much you could customize each mech you got!! Definitely something worth playing.

Same here, so many things are similar its hard to believe its a "new" game, im even having server problems, and i swear they talked up finally having dedicated servers?
Shame i used my store credit for MW3 and not Skyrim.

It was the most exciting game I've ever watched on YouTube. Would watch again. Please keep buying their stuff so I don't have to.

Looks pretty solid for a call of duty game.

    Why break what works?

Though I think I'll wait for a steam deal/price drop before I buy it. Far to busy with skyrim.

Best game ive played so far (Better than CoD4). I like the direction they took with the game
New Strike packages are really awesome to me. No more unbalanced perks and only a few unbalanced guns (Akimbo Machine Pistols)

Pfft, Call of Duty? That hasn't been mentioned anywhere in this article. Clearly, he's talking about MechWarrior 3.

I don't like the latency problems. I'll have 4 bars and it's like my latency seems like it's >500ms sometimes b/c I swear I'll see someone, get the jump on them even, and still die in 1 shot when the killcam shows 3+. The 3-shot burst guns I understand that, but it happens with anything and everything that isn't those or snipers. I miss the customization of Blops too. I think they should've done the cod points thing but either had a)removed the ranking requirement for being able to purchase the guns or b)remove the cost of having to buy them. I don't like having to spend time with a weapon to unlock the attachments later on either. I liked being able to buy what I wanted to use right off the bat(assuming I had the points). Otherwise, it's a good game for CoD.

while I'm sure a great population of those who play them are, there are plenty out there(like me) who enjoy them b/c they're a nice fps.

I aggree with the lag, I can walk up behind someone and put 2 shotgun rounds into the back of their head, only for them to turn around and knife me.

The most balanced COd, but no depth whatsoever

Haven't tried the multiplayer.. and honestly with Skyrim now I don't think I'll even bother ...

But the Campaign... Incredible.. Filled in basically every gap in the story, Great missions, intense the whole way through, many unexpected "Oh Shit" moments. I'd still rate it slightly under COD4:MW1 but leagues above MW2.

Just completed the Campaign, which I enjoyed a lot more than the previous CoD:MW games, however. Where I was able to complete Veteran with a challenge (but doable) in the previous games, this one just seems a bit too impossible. On Normal, if I left my body/head sticking out longer than 5 seconds, I'd get pelted. This time, on Veteran, there's no room for error. Grenades seem to be thrown with accuracy and no limit. Moving to cover makes seems to be way too hard, unless I'm prone behind cover, 100% of time. I guess that's part of the challenge, but it's way too frustrating for me to want to attempt it, with the new game.

As for multiplayer, I haven't tried it yet (enjoying Skyrim too much). I'll wait a few weeks for them to fix some of the issues I've been reading about, like the new Killstreaks and Support Packages.

    Meh.

Really not much else to say.

So far, I'm level 63, so I would say I've played "enough" to have a good basic understanding of the game thusfar, and I've played Mw and MW2 a LOT.

Now. I for one like all the changes made. Sure the support KS system is 'overused' but I mean… eh. Oh well. I use the Specialist killstreak system because I just find it more useful on a per-player basis.

The maps are nice (so far), Kill Confirmed is a GREAT addition (sniper camping prone coldblooded silencer etc can't get all the kills AND succeed and whatnot. I like the riot shield, personally, with the support KS + Hardline Pro you can really be a support player and excel instead of having to go marathon lightweight commando and being rush master extreme-o v5.0.

Uhm…*What else… The pistols are nice, not OP like the magnum in MW2. 2ndary machine pistols are nice. Shotguns aren't OP (I get annoyed @ 'em but not lik e…*models or spas or aa12 or anything from mw2-level.)

I'm an SMG guy and live by my pp90, which I love. the proficiency scheme adds a little extra dimension of uniqueness or choice which is cool.

Having a different KS setup per CLASS is a great add. No need to have all your choppers etc. on your sniper class if you 'forget' to change them.

The one negative I noticed since my 1st game joining IS, if I can tell via UAV or something there's a guy prone around the corner, I run jump and try to turn & shoot him mid-air… it doesn't let me shoot. It just freezes. A bit of the ground is clunky and I get stuck, but besides that…*NO complaints. Nothing seems retardedly OP.

    rant over.

tl;dr I like all the changes, I think it's great. Few 'bugs'.

EDIT: I plan on, but have not yet, played campaign. Gave my view on the multiplayer part of the game.*

Edit-edit: Also glad quickscoping is back, but still seems 'harder' than it was in MW2. Which is only fair, a sniper shouldn't be able to kill anything else all the time. I use the AS50 or w.e if anyone cares which I doubt.
