[Skyrim] I need help on a quest (Blood on the ice)

Currently I'm trying to complete the blood on the ice quest. So far I've followed the instructions on the elder scrolls wiki page (http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Blood_on_the_Ice) but the court mage doesn't give me any other dialogue options than that I can learn destruction spells from him. I'm not sure if there's something I've done wrong or if it's a bug. I've looked on the internet for a solution but I can't find anything about this. Any ideas?
