Accurate rating as far as i'm concerned. Not suprised at all.
They're so busy playing Skyrim they just hit the random number generator and that's what popped out
I thought for awhile TOR might not be as fun I thought...
Then I clicked skyrim.
Rated 9.0
This thing is bullshit.
A little logic here:
1. With only a few Beta Weekends behind us, what makes you think anyone has played enough of the game to decide how the entire thing rates? It would sort of be like me playing the first 20 or 30 levels of WoW and deciding I don't like the end-game.
2. The NDA is still in full effect.
3. All most people have seen are press-releases and early-level material. The exception being those lucky few who made it into Beta Weekend. And even those people still had a very limited view of only ten or so levels.
Now that we have some basic logic out of the way, take another look at the Gamespot link you gave us. You'll notice, as many others have pointed out, that the rating is now 0.0.
And here is something to consider as you go about life, basing all your decisions on how other people rate things. Virtually every professional movie critic is employed by a company that also owns a movie studio. If you watch the trends as it pertains to how they rate movies, you will notice that they ALWAYS favor movies produced by the company that employ's them more than other movies.
What makes you think Video Games rated with any less bias?
