    Wireless Repeater

I'm in need of a repeater to extend the wireless in my house. I've looked over the options on newegg and the reviews are really a mixed bag. Does anyone here have any experience/recommendations? Thanks!

My router is a D-Link DIR-655 (unable to post a link)

I don't know anything about wireless repeaters, but a I've heard that a good way to extend internet access anywhere you need it in your home is by using powerline adapters.

You can check out a bunch of them at http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCateg...ine-Networking as well.

powerline adapters are pretty nice if you have spare outlets. however, not everyone has that luxury.

for example, i have 1 power outlet with a splitter (OOIIII setup). the 2 round ones are for my computer and my screen, the 4 flat ones are for my speakers, my clock, my cellphone charger and my PSP charger. so adapters are not an option for me. i don't know about Tandrelyn and Infidel08, but they might as well be in the same situation.

not to mention that the outlets need to be on the same power grid, which is not always the case. for example, my house has 2 separate power grids inside, 1 for each floor. my router is downstairs, but my computer is upstairs.

Thanks for the replies! I'm looking to extend my wireless for my tablet/smartphone. I'm not sure that the powerline solution is optimal for what I need. Anyone else have any ideas?

http://www.dlink.com/DAP-1360 would probably be your best bet for a range extender to go with your dlink router.
when all else fails, read the STICKIES.
