So many nice pieces and then you top it off with Razer Starcraft II junk. Yeah, bet this isn't serious.

I would not go with the 3960X considering its price/performance ratio vs the 3930K

performance index off a swe site since anandtech apparently only had tested the X-model and I'm too lazy to search for more.

But looks to me that you really don't care about price

A lot of excellence, and then the 1080p 27" monitor... For the amount you are putting into this machine at least get a great monitor, like the Dell Ultrasharp u2711.

I also prefer 2x1TB HDD rather than a single 2TB

I don't want to sound like a jealous schmuck, but unless you are earning serious money with that computer, and doing serious video editing and rendering super heavy stuff and or modeling in 3d. I really don't see any point in spending that kind of money on a gaming PC. I'd tone down on CPU to 2500k or 2600k and GPU to something else more afordable. Rather spend half of that amount now, and other half in 2 or so years.

Also if I was building something like that I wouldn't pick h100 water cooling, i'd rather take Xigmatek Aegir or Noctua NH-D14 and some fans for the case. Temperature difference should be minimal and you'd get quieter system.

Overall the build if fine, but the question comes to to need vs. want and a lot of those parts could be swapped for something cheaper or better /both, but it comes down to personal preference. Furthermore there isn't anything wrong with the H100 and is quiet while offering great cooling. I prefer the H80 but like I said, personal preference. If you gave more details you would receive more help.

Apart from the case being an overpriced gimmick (get a HAF932)

    It's p sweet

Terrible monitor, lacking keyboard, lacking mouse, the SB-E processors make no real sense in a gaming build (how well do these overclock anyway?), purchasing high-capacity storage drives right now is just a waste of money, and using an Enterprise edition of Windows does not really make sense for home computers. Almost all of its features requires the machine to be a slave to an Active Directory environment, and it is less resource efficient than Professional.

I was under the impression water cooling only for 2011socket cpu's.

The case Is the most overpriced piece of shit ever. But hey, If you buy It you can have a giant sign over your head that says "Biggest retard ever".

To the thread discussion. I'm learning towards that this thread Is a joke. If your going to buy Thousands of dollars In computer hardware, then you don't need to ask If you got the right parts because your going to know what the hell your doing If your going to build a system like this.

I Get everything from them, the limits are 2 harddrives per visit due to the harddrive shortage, they don't carry much of the 2011socket hardware.
And what they have in stock are the overpriced 2011's.

I will likely not go with this because of the pcie 3.0 stuff ive been hearing lately.
But i figured hey someone here might know better parts.

Why not get 16gb or even 32gb of the 1866MHz. You've gone apeshit so far, why skimp now.

So you picked everything at max price and built a computer? not really a logical build, the case alone is just absurd...
