You know that cpu was released in December 2006, right? Dont hope for much.

Guys do you think I can play this game decently even if all on the lowest settings?

I'll elaborate; My PC has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+, a GTX 275, 2GB Ram and I'm still even using Windows XP and I ran the game without issues. During the 11-11-11 weekend I never crashed or disconnected once. I did notice a bit of slowdown after playing all day but that's not surprising. My FPS wasn't going to win any contests but it was far from "unplayable", at least for questing/flashpoints. Warzones were choppier however.

SWTOR beta performance review by Toms:

Probably this answers some of the questions.

Note that beta had a debugger running in the background and it was definitely a resource hog. So, the retail version should run much smoother on lower end systems.

Thank you so much for that article. Means that I won't want to put all settings on high, I can get away with most on high but I will have to tone down AA/Shadows/Bloom. I can deal with that.

AA and Bloom weren't options in the last build of beta so it's likely they wont be for live. Shadows are very taxing and your best bet would be to turn those off.

I play on a computer that is fairly new, but I couldn't afford much when I bought it, so it's fairly mediocre... But it ran TOR just fine. I even turned the graphics up as high as they'd go. Still no disruptive lagging.

With my computer turning off shadows completely really helped my framerate problem.

AA option was removed around the time of 2nd weekend beta. I don't think it will be back for launch.. maybe in future. However, still you can enable it through your Catalyst or Nvidia control panels as the Tomshardware article suggests.

i have a AMD phenom x4 3.4 ghz, 4gb ddr3, 6850 HD and i was getting around 45-60 in game world, 80-120 on instances, 100+ on cut-scenes. during the 25th of November beta week. Anyone with a 6850 tried the last beta weekend? what was your fps like?

EDIT: i was on 1920x1080 resolution with everything set to max and shadows set to 65%.
