It isn't as bad as so many people are making it out to be. I'm enjoying the game very much and if I could change anything, it would be the camera. Other than that I find it to be very fun.
They've put through a number of patches fixing a significant number of bugs. At launch it really was that bad, and it's still not great overall, but it's at least playable.
That's what happens when the publishers are very impatient. However, I have seen worse game launches. Dawn of Fantasy, couldn't play for over two weeks because a bug would corrupt the game files. Even if you made a new game save, that bug would eventually corrupt it and you lost all your progress.
