Practical difference between Horde and Alliance was so minimal I don't see how anyone can call something like this.

Forum polls are horribly inaccurate as they self-select a small and very not-random group of players.
The guild statistics aren't much better, but they do represent at least a much larger number, and show a sharp (3:1) favoritism towards Imperial population.

Horde worse at pve, horde less populated.
Almost every server I played on or talked to people about was either 3 horde to 1 alliance, and then a few balanced 1 to 1. Just use blizzcon has a example when someone on the stage says "for the horde" everyone cheers while "for the alliance" you hear alot of booing.
Then wowprogress proves the worse at pve part wrong
