Laser sight on Shotgun

Would having a laser sight on a shotgun in battlefield 3 increase it's accuracy? Usually shotguns in the game just spray in a general circle area on your screen, but I think a laser reduces the radius of the circle...making the shotgun more potent at longer distances, or more accurate?

the laser sight only makes it more accurate while hip firing, not while aiming in the scope or sight. But yes it does reduce the circles radius.
