1% CEO down in the trenches of the 99% Occupy Movement.

All things considered, he handled himself quite well and by the end of it, the woman who could not stop screaming was speechless. I'm all for what the Occupy Movement stands for, but this CEO makes a valid point on the nature of capitalism and entrepreneurs.

    Good for him.

I'm not a fan of the Occupy movements for various reasons but I get the feeling that'd just be another can of flame-bait so I'll keep my opinions to myself.

    Nice find, Lucky.

The problem is not even about rich CEOs.

The problem is a banking system that is based on ever spiraling debt and inflation being unsustainable. If you're in the position to ride that wave, and have the money and investments, you always win. Everyone else loses as their savings become worthless, and their salaries don't increase, yet their cost of living does increase.

Government regulation needs to absolutely stamp down on the banking system hard. Small changes will not make a difference. They need to absolutely slash the power of private banks; who use their power to change the economy to such unhealthy degrees.

I think she got owned here and the rest of the occupiers also.

They generally tend to. I don't see the movement accomplishing anything other than making sure there's fewer people filling out applications so the rest of the world who has patience and the desire to pull themselves up on their own terms has less competition on a new job. :P

It's a cruel world, and it sucks when you're poor to see the rich living it so well, and you wish they would share their success with you. Unfortunately, what some people fail to realize is that a lot of these people worked their ass to get into the position that they're in today, and everyone has the opportunity to get into a successful standing, but some lack the drive to do it. These are the people clamoring for the rich to share their riches, which is unfair to those that worked to get there.

To have the government step in and require the wealthy to pay even more is very socialist and it's not right.

    Progressive taxation is not socialism.

I don't necessarily support the Occupy Wall Street movement, as I don't exactly the particulars of everything going on. But this video perfectly illustrates why I hate most protestors. Nobody has their own opinions, they just keep spouting slogans. That lady just kept saying she wants to get rid of the Bush-era tax cuts. Fine, but how about you respond to what that guy is saying? I just hate when someone's ill informed and they try to argue like this. He called her on it, and whenever she couldn't answer something she juist changed the subject. Really angries up my blood.

I dont understand this "Occupy" area thing.

Hating on big corporations is just socially cool now, like hating the banks & rich people. Without these rich people investing billions into their countries, these people wouldn't have the lifestyles they have now, even if they're not ideal.

They don't understand what these large companies contribute to society. They believe that unless companies are paying large amounts of Tax they're not contributing, and that is just sheer stupidity.

PS: Hating on corporations and rich companies, while posting about it on Twitter & Facebook from your iPad & drinking Starbucks Coffee ...

That woman should be a politician. She ignored the question and kept yelling what she wanted.

If you don't hate our banking system you're not paying enough attention.

I also wonder how much money his company bought into the U.S & International Markets this year? Undoubtably more then his own tax bill, and more then you will probably ever contribute.

Life isn't fair, and the rich only get richer because they're smart with their money.

Honestly I didn't find this video interesting. Both of their arguments were flawed (especially the woman shouting).

It sounded like two people took a forum page out of the MMO-Champion thread on the Occupy movement and read it aloud while shouting.

Buying the government is certainly a smart investment.

Why would I hate our system? It is 10% of our countries income, and they're doing the right thing.

People hating on them because they're not lending mortages & money to businesses. The same people who want these are often incapable of repaying the loans, so the banks (should they loan the money) will be forced to get another bail-out, and then get more hate...

Occupy movement has gotten out of hand. Now its just a bunch of dirty hippies pitching tents claiming to do something instead of working.
