Seems Aus retailers don't even know when the game is going to be released, and trying to buy it online from the swtor/origin site says it's not available in my region.

yes its being released later here because we are in the (red zone) if you want a cd go buy one at cjscdkeys.com they are cheap and the keys come from europe and they work in australia thats where i got mine or order from amazon.com good luck
