I do not believe it is specific to an area, you can pick both from US or EU servers when you log in.

Yes. There is only one client that everyone shares around the world. EU servers are based in the EU, US servers are based in the US, but a EU player can choose to play on a US server as easily as you choose a different server.

If this is true then I will just buy all my game cards from the US, I'd save so much money that way... unless I need to pay a bucketload for shipping.
