Well, varied as World of Warcraft classes, varied as RIFT classes. The resources are what define the class for me; since I've played melee all the time, same for ranged.

Although the resources really bring out how fast your character can do things, how long it can sustain itself, how much burst, etc.

How do the play styles differ between the classes?

Also the races. Its Star Wars and all they have are basic humans reskinned for different colours? If I were to play swtor I'd play with the intention of experiencing as many classes/races/play styles/ etc. that I could. However, they all seem extremely homogenized. Before I spend(or not spend) my money on swtor, could someone please clarify and prove my first impressions wrong?

See the bolded sentence? That's what i was referring to. How can anyone prove an opinion or an impression wrong? He starts by mentioning things he doesn't like or did not impress him, which are a vast majority of the appeal of the game itself. He did not document himself in the slightest and continues to ask for reasons to like the game which he dismissed in the first place for his own reasons.
Yet i'm the one getting "you know what" arlee. For once i'd like to see people using their own judgements for the decisions THEY take. It's for their own good in life.
And please DON'T misunderstand my words again. This (topic) and that (a real conversation) are two different things.

Either way i'm done. I don't want another infraction for asinine reasons.
Perspective is like a coin. It has two faces, but most people fail to see both.

I bolded and italicized his other points. He wanted clarification, because he saw them as being very similar, and wanted his impression of them being similar proven wrong, which is easy to do when answering the question of "how do they differ".

But either way, most of his questions have been answered. Hopefully enough for him to try it out.

Races are just cosmetics, classes however are quite different from each other, more diverse then WoW for reference.

OP just wants to make a troll post on a new account. But just in case he is not a troll and just lazy and completely incapable of using google or youtube

4 classes per faction, 2 advanced classes per class, 3 specializations (some specializations are wildly different from one another, others have a similar playstyle or 'feel'). Sameness is only surface level.
