Please help check my first build!

    Hi all,

This will be my first computer build, I got most of the parts from Chaud's recommendations. The budget is ~$1000. I will use it for general use as well as gaming, but nothing too taxing. I would like a setup that will last me a few years, but which I can also upgrade if needed.

    Thanks for the post Fuzzy!

Would you be able to elaborate a bit about the changes you made?

    eg:
-Why Ripjaws Series over the Ripjaws X?
-Why the MSI GPU when the EVGA is cheaper and has a faster core clock?
    -Why the higher power PSU?

Pretty much, why did you pick what you picked? The suggestions are good, but they would be more helpful if I knew why you picked them.

    -Cheaper, same performance.
    -Better Cooling
-20W isn't the relevant part. The SeaSonic PSU is a bit more reliable and well built in comparison to the CX600.
