LFR wait times, seriously?

Heh, yeah it's funny how tanking queue is taking ages (easily 15-20min) - where as DPS times are about 8 minutes and healing queues about 2-3 minutes.

That's why I'm mostly dps'ing or healing in there. But it makes sense.

The actual 1 day as the screenie says isn't to be taken seriously. But sign as tank+dps. Sure you won't get dibbs on tanking gear but you might get something nice for OS and for tokens it doesn't matter.

You could try:

Queing with friends who are DPS
Purchasing dual-spec and having a DPS spec to queue as

But considering you only need two tanks out of 25 raid members, of course the queue's going to be higher for you.

As a DPS I never had a Queue timer tell me I had to wait an entire day.

I agree, it is like sometimes 20-30 minutes for a tank to get into it.. then only the last boss is alive so you wonder.. hmm take this or decline and re-queue..

This is my paladin alt, just so you know. my main and other classes are dps (cept one healer) i know the queues are bad for dungeons, but this basically makes it impossible to play it (It's also my only horde, aint got no friends on horde ><)

OT: 25 players, two of them are tanks, you do the math, life sucks.
Tanks have always had short 5man queues, but finding a guild and raidgroup is much harder for a tank than it is for a dps/healer.

Bet you want a satchel too....but seriously get a DPS set/spec. I queue as both and occasionally get to tank but my queue times are always fast when I give the option to DPS.

When I queued today as DPS I had instant or a maximum of 30 seconds wait time before a group popped, and other days there's a maximum wait of around 5 minutes.
Even on my tank I don't have instant 5man queues these days (though it's never longer than 2-3 minutes wait as tank).
The one thing always missing now is healers.

lately i been seeing 3 hour wait times as DPS in heroics was like O_o but it only takes like 10 minutes if that, the average times are messed up so don't believe what you see most the time.

Joined a queue for LFG few days back and it said 3 days, almost shit myself but then it went down a bit obviously but when I was doing LFR yesterday I was waiting about 14 minutes on average as dps, healer was almost instant.

Poor baby. When the mix is 2 tanks, 6 healers, and 17 DPS this will happen. Get over it. If you want insta-queue, the 5-mans are still there.

This character is fully geared from the 5 mans, If you read the inital post. you;d see that i said "I know that the amount of tanks required is much lower" which of course means that it's going to take longer, ive done one LFR on this char, it took me 45 mins to get in with a 30 min average wait. this was week 2 of the patch.

Some people can't do math, evidently. And it wouldn't have taken a day, either.

Maybe it wouldent have taken a day. It doesnt mean that it's still not going to take over an hour. What if i have more interesting things to do in over 1 and a half hours time, i'd not be able to get anything done in the instance, (Been in this queue for 1 hr 5 mins now..)

Yes, I have a tank main, too, and I don't mind waiting 30 min if I really want to tank. Oh, and LFR has had a great effect on DPS queues for 5-mans, too. They're down around 10 minutes or so most of the time.

I dont like playing other specs on this character, What happened to letting people play whatever spec they want?
