    GPU Heat Question

    Hey internet,

    (SPECS:
    GPU 6970 Sapphire STOCK
CPU i5 750 STOCK (with coolmaster 212+ cooler)
    Case: antec 900

Recently I have been pushing my GPU pretty hard with GTAIV Texture mods and ICenhacer, under load after being at ~90% for 30minutes it is around 80c and idle it sits at about 55c after being on for 100+ hours (this is because my PC is essentially the media hub for the share house)

My question is; Are these temps too high and what can I be doing to cool them down a little?

    CPU: i7 3930k@4.4 Mobo: Rampage IV X79 RAM: 32GB Ripjaw @ 1600Mhz GPU: EVGA 780ti SC SSD: 128GB M4

Right around 80 is fairly normal, although 55 is a bit warm for idle. The only thing you can do is make sure your case has good airflow, clean the dust off the card, increase the idle fan speed somewhat, maybe replace the thermal compound with something better on the cooler if it doesn't void the warranty, or move to watercooling. As it is now, you should be okay.

You can adjust fan management to set your fan speed at different temperatures in MSI Afterburner, my GTX 580 would usually get up to 85-95c. After I adjusted fan speed settings it ran down to 70-75c while playing, it got a little bit louder ofcourse.
