Positive LFR experiences - share yours!

I had a pretty good experience in LFR recently and thought I'd share it in the hopes of hearing about some other good stories.

My story doesn't start out so great, but in the end it all worked out!

I signed up for Fall of Deathwing and we got to the end, and sure enough the Agi one hander dropped. I hit Need, as it was a definite upgrade over my current main spec weapons. Sadly, another player won. Taking a closer look, I realised the player who won was Elemental. I alt-tabbed and checked his Armory, just out of curiosity. Main spec Elemental, off spec Resto. Frustrating that I'd rolled second highest to someone's off spec.

I tabbed back in and sure enough, he and I were some of the few players still standing around in the instance, so I figured what the hell, why not, and sent him a whisper asking if he might consider passing that to me as it was for my main spec. He went auto AFK and I waited it out for a while. He came back and I asked again.

He replied, "Got anything to trade for it?"

Me: "No, sorry, I don't. I usually only play Enhance so I only roll for Enhance gear." At this point, I thought, I won't be getting that weapon.

Next thing I know, the guy opened trade and handed it over. Good to see that being polite still gets you somewhere in a random group sometimes.

Anyone else have any positive LFR experiences to share?

Just yesterday Zon'Ozz dropped two sets of tier pants and tier shoulders. I won the shoulders and a priest won BOTH tier pants. I asked if he would give me the second, since I won second place on both the pants rolls. He said he wanted shoulders, but I couldn't justify letting that guy get two tier pieces. So i said no thanks.

We killed Hagara and tier shoulders dropped. I won them. The priest was willing to trade at this point

Similar thing for me-- ran a Seige on my resto shaman, and the healing trinket dropped-- the resto druid who was at the bottom of the healing meter won it.

I just sent him a nice tell saying, "Man, if I had a dollar for every time I've lost that trinket... grats man."

Next thing I know, he opened trade to give it to me, saying, "I'm not really working that hard anyway, take it."

It was very nice of him, and we chatted and joked the rest of the run.

Last week I managed to obtain DW weapon, Spine shoulders and 2set so it was a positive experience for me. Since this is the ONLY week I've won anything

And the last weeks I've run guild runs through LFR usually with about 15-20 people so nothign is taken if it's not needed and everything is distributed as it would in a normal raid

Then you'd have 5 dollar by now :P or is it 6 already,, time goes so fast...

The polearm from Deathwing dropped twice today. A hunter won both of these and after asking if I could please have one since he won both, he gave one to me. There was also this druid saying "giieeefffff", so apparently saying please still works

On my Rogue on Christmas Eve. I was top DPS (My guild would've been doing hard modes already, if it weren't for people flaking out the past 2-3 weeks), and was still rocking 3-piece. Another rogue won a tier piece, glanced at the charts, and gave it to me, saying "Merry Christmas. I barely raid, and you probably need this more than I do." Made my day.

2 days back on my Fury Warrior. OTher Warrior wins both tier chests, so he goes by the second highest roll and passes the second one to me, instead of pocketing it for OS or whatever. Small things, yes, but nice nonetheless.

I have a couple actually, all in my favor. Once was when we downed the slime boss. Leather agility boots drop and a really low geared feral won them. He whispered me and said it was just his alt and opened trade and gave them to me. The 2nd was during a MoD encounter. The 2 tanks were me and another feral. I inspect him just to see what he has and he already has the 390 polearm from DW. It drops and me and him as well as a few hunters roll on it. He wins it and gives it to me saying he rolled on it just to give me another chance at getting it

Last week two Priest, Warlock, Paladin pant tokens dropped. One of the 5 healing priests (>.>) won a pair. We got onto Hagara and halfway through the fight they traded me the pants saying it was only for off spec and I was the only one in the raid that didn't already have T13 pants.

I thanked him etc, gemmed, equipped them and got into a BH group...The 397 Priest pants dropped. Was a very nice thing for that priest to do, but I kinda wish I waited to hand in the token, I knew something like that would happen lol.
    Main toon: Priest
Alts: Rogue, Druid and Paladin plus many, many more.

I`m happy to just give loot i don`t need to people who do need AND actually make an effort. Gave a guy a pair of boots and a tier token whilst this other guy who died a lot, afk`d a lot and spammed me asking for loot a lot even though i got something i did need.

I havent got any really. I just gave 2 tier pants, chest, 2 helms, a trinket and healing mace away. They needed it more than me and I only really play my hunter now.

    Happy new year!

Ah, yes, the inevitable upgrade dropping for the same slot as your last upgrade.

10 dollars, enough to buy Bastion!! Totally worth not getting that item then, awesome game.

My alt seems to meet the nicest people in lfr.

I have never asked for anyone to give me an item, but I had a feral offer me the DW staff because it was a bigger upgrade- and have been randomly traded 3 of my tier slots by people who won 'rolled to stop the bad xyz getting'.

It is a sharp contrast to my main, where I bring 4-6 alts on the same token/trinkets - and only got the last item I needed this reset - while getting angry whispers from people who think they deserve xyz more, because of every random reason under the sun...

I used it, 1 shot everything, so I can cancel my subscription until the next patch. Content seen in one day!
Pretty much the same with the whole guild.

I only really do LFR with my friend Simon, and we usually both tank on two of our alts. I always have a great time with him on Skype. In fact, the most fun I have had in a very long time was on the first day of the patch, neither of us knew the tactics and we just went in blind. Didn't wipe a single time and we had a friendly group - it was awesome.

Regarding loot, I started to enjoy my Death Knight more and more recently, so I started to really focus on my rotation and study the class. It was on siege, and I came 2nd on the recount every time for each boss - there was a really well geared mage above me with the 397 4 set bonus. The legs and the shoulders dropped - he won both of them, but I figured he'd been getting spammed about it so I left him alone. After we cleared, he whispered me and traded them to me because he said he wanted them to go to someone he felt deserved it! I was over the moon!

My most positive experience with LFR:

Monday night, I just figured I haven't done LFR yet! To my big relief I remembered that I don't have to do it any more. So I didn't queue. Felt really good.
Rincewind: Ah! We may, in fact, have reached the root of the problem. However it's a silly problem and so I am suddenly going to stop talking to you.

Each time downing madness of deathwing never winning the 2h sword haven't actually wiped on it yet so I haven't had to waste the time refighting the boss to lose again
