    Frame stutter in most games.

Hey, so im having this issue with most games im playing on my laptop.

After about 10mins to and hour (depending on the game) my FPS starts to act erratically. Every 2 mins or so my FPS froms to between 0 and 5. This lasts for like 10 seconds. Im not sure why this is happening, but its happening on games i should be able to run without issue (Namely WoW)

Heres my info, if more is required let me know

    CPU: AMD v160 2.40 GHz
    RAM: 3.gb (2.74 usable)
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
    OS: Windows 7 64bit

Its happened regardless of WoW settings, even on the lowest.

Again, not sure what info to supply. Let me know if im missing anything. Thanks

Check temperatures when it is happening, sounds like throttling.

As Chaud said, sounds like a heating problem. In case of worn thermal paste the CPU heats up and as a result the fps starts to hiccup. GPU running hot has the same effect. To check the CPU temperature i'd suggest using a program such as Core Temp.

I had the same issue, I had to re-apply thermal paste and it fixed it all up.

As the others mentioned, temperature is the most likely culprit. If you do reapply paste and your problem is not solved, you should think about dropping $30 to put some more RAM in your machine, because 3GB is pushing minimum requirements for OS+games these days.
