    Running Headphones

Hey folks. I'm looking to invest in a pair of nice earbud headphones for running. I have an ipod and iphone that I will be using regularly while working out. I'm looking for experiences of comfort and durability. My budget is around $100 but would spend a little more for something that will last and have good quality.

I have looked at two so far...

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=bose%20earbud

    and

I have also seen people using earbud headsets that wrap around the back of your head and ears. I suppose this helps them stay in place. Would like some information on those as well if possible.

    Thanks for any information.

P.S. I tried using search but the results were filled with gaming headsets instead, so sorry if this has been brought up recently.

I'd check this list. Stay away from Bose, too. They're highly overpriced.

Yikes, I wouldn't spend that much on headphones for running. Mine get fairly thrashed from my workouts. Are you planning on using them on a treadmill, outdoors or both? If you are going to use them outdoors I would plan on something that is secure, but will still allow you to hear whats going on around you for safety.

three words : Sennheiser or Shure.

the Shure SE215 earphones would fit your budget. http://www.shurecanada.com/PersonalA...215.html#specs

Sennhsier also has several options in your price range, depending on whether you want noise isolation. http://www.sennheiser.ca/live/senn/groupe/en/15/1

For something that your gonna be using roughly I would say just get some sony earbuds, I got mine for 25-30$ and they take a hell of a beating and still produce decent sound I mean would you seriously run around with 100$+ earbuds/phones and damage them ?

If you do intend on purchasing $100 headphones for working out, there's just one rule really: stay the hell away from Bose, Skull Candies and Dre Beats.

That said, I'd highly recommend just grabbing Marshmallows or something in that price range. They'll sound good enough and when you inevitably destroy them, you won't blow $100 on something that should've lasted you 4 - 5 times longer normally.
