LFR Loot- Did I misread something?

So I just did my first LFR on a alt, because I figured hey, let's try to gear my alt, my main raids regulars so I don't need LFR on her. So I join a group, pretty decent group, now here's my issue. We kill one of the bosses and both the legs and the gloves drop from warlord zon'ozz.

Weird, but okay. I roll need on all 4 of them hoping to at least get ONE of them. And the other Mage in our group wins. all. four. Pieces. Is that a glitch that he is able to get multiple pieces of the same gear from one boss fight? It would be a lot more fair if you could only win ONE piece of gear per boss fight, or heck have some common courtesy of not rolling later in the raid as he ended up winning the shoulders and the ring off of hagara.
It was my understanding when LFR was announced that you would only win one piece of gear a raid or something to that extent. Obviously I was mistaken to some degree.

Is there anything from blizzard on this topic? I haven't found anything yet.

Youre thinking of the rule that one person can only get loot once from a boss each reset, not one loot per boss. Remember that LFR is still pretty new so these problems will most likely be fixed for the next expansion

After reading some of the other comments in some of the other threads "Common Courtesy" went out the window for LFR. It's all about getting as much loot even if you don't really need it.

It should be fixed for MOP though.

Losing a roll to another player is not a bug.

You are limited to rolling on the drops from each boss once per week in the LFR, that's the only restriction outside of what your class/role can actually roll on.
I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us.

Blizzard already implemented two improvement/restrictions to the need before greed loot roll system that has been in place for years. I feel no matter what is done people won't be happy anytime they lose a roll on something they want.

I didn't win my loot because a dps ninja's my tank gear.... blizzard implements +100 roll bonus for class roles.
I didn't win my loot because a dk took my agi polearm.... blizzard implements class restrictions on loot.
    I didn't win my loot....

Just do what everyone else is doing.... roll need on everything and try to trade for what you want... I see that all the time.

blizz needs to make it so you cant trade items. guild groups roll in with all their alts and roll and trade everything. its rediculous/

Yeah. Don't take it personally. LFR right now is sort of like the first day of kindergarten where you all run to the toy box and try to grab as many of the fun toys before everyone else.

My post is quite clear and is obviously not a direct response to OP but a commentry on the number of LFR loot threads that have been filling the forums lately. Despite the loot system already being improved over the long existing dungeon loot system, people still continue to find fault. I question at what point people will accept that "fairness" of rng rolls is a matter of perception. I have lost track of the amount of reasons people have come up with for why they deserve to win loot more than anyone else. Sad that I have to explain this to you like a child, perhaps you should work on your comprehension skills.

Meh, my hunter got decked out pretty quick in LFR and my 10 other 85's I try to randomly run though there haven't got much. I don't mind really. LFR is simple and doesn't take much time so I'm happy with being done with 1 wing in 90 minutes and getting the 250 vp. If I get loot along the way great, if not no biggy.

Of course I've always played the game without the craving for omg epix anyway so I've never been bothered with being last on the loot list.

Thats my point. I run LFR on 5 alts each week. One alt which hit 85 after DS dropped has somehow managed to win 9 items from LFR including 5 set tier, trinkets and DS weapons. On the other hand 2 of my toons have one nothing at all and my main raiding toon which I have 3 set from normal raids and I run LFR every week to try and make my 4 set but I never win it.

Its just the luck of the roll. Its like going to the casino and saying its not fair if anyone wins more than one hand of poker. Or you should win more because you are poor and need the money more than the high rollers.

That will solve nothing. People will still roll need on everything and then just vendor it to cover repair costs. Or DE it. Or delete it. Whatever. Trading is good. Get some friends and guildies, Q together, and do the same thing.

This is generally my opinion as well. It's not a huge deal that I lost out on gear, I enjoy seeing the content and getting to raid on my alts which I normally don't get to do, and I enjoy getting the occasional epic but it's not a huge deal if I don't. But that doesn't mean that LFR is still without errors like I described above.

Pretty much. Some times it's your day sometimes its not. People get way to freaked out about not winning loot, its pretty funny.

Despite some issues i see it as a great enhancement over the current LFD simple Need before Greed system.

If you want to increase your chances then queue with more people.

If you see a guild group, drop and queue again.

It will never be without errors. Plate DPS can still roll need on tanking gear in 5 mans. I don't find it fair that I spent the time and gold leveling Enchanting so others can benifit by hitting the DE button and turning a 30g vendor item into a 100+g shard. Most people are greedy and feel like they are the center of the universe and all loot should go to them so anything Blizzard does to make it more "fair" will in turn be unfair to others who will then cry about it and the cycle will continue forever.

What they should really do is create a world wide DKP system that is kept track on your armory. When you win something your points get reduced and instead of getting a +100 roll bonus, maybe you only get a +50. You still have a chance to win but its slightly less. Then if you win again, points go down, etc. You LFR for 3 weeks and either don't roll or don't win, then that 4th week maybe instead of a 100 bonus you get 200! Woo!
