I just lost a roll for gurthalak to a DK who already had THE item. (I got severly pissed.) So first they had these items unique, and for some reason they removed that. Can somebody explain me why? Since it will prevent things like i just mentioned. (The only reason i can think off to make items unique again are that fury warrs cant dual Weild like gurthalak, well to bad for them. (I am a fury warr myself 2))

You don't remember well. The only things that were ever unique were the unique-equipped trinkets and rings, and some still are today. Originally Posted by Quesium

And in there was like a thing where u automaticly passed on items you already have 2. they could bring that back 2.

"Ninja Looting" is taking an item from another player against the loot rules or taking something you don't need or can't use. Originally Posted by Quesium
You can't roll on items you can't use anymore, so everyone in the LFR will be rolling on things they need. If you lose, too bad, they're not Ninja Looting since they need it too.

Thats not true their were many items that were considered unique most of which were rep rewards, however blizz has put effort into changing said items into Originally Posted by Velyndina

Having drops labeled as unique can be very annoying for other reasons. I remember in WotLK; http://www.wowhead.com/item=37791 were Unique which means my druid, who is an enchanter, could not DE it for the group as I already had a pair for my resto spec. It can also be nice for certain classes to have 2 of the same item for different reforges for different specs.
Is it annoying when randoms win gear they already have over you? Yes, but that is the fault of the community. Making things Unique wont fix that.

imo trinkets rings and weapons were unique. Armor has never been unique as far as i know. However nowadays it wouldnt make sence anyway. With Dualspec you may roll for another item and socket it in another way. for example in Wrath my Tank had 3 Helmets of the same kind.. 1 with + Block gem, 1 with + Stamina gem and 1 with reduced Magicdamage taken.
I do know a Warrior who did the dualspecc both for Tank. He has one for Trash and Aoe Tanking and one for singletarget Bosstanking with focus on survival.
In the end its another pointless Mimimi posting. Both rolled he won.. too bad for you.
