Unfortunately, this. MoP is more "done" at this stage than its predecessors, but not by the 4 months that people think it is. With talent overhauls, entirely new systems, and a new class, there's no way that MoP is going to spend less than 6 months in testing, meaning we'd see it around July....if they announce their testing in the next couple weeks. Just remember, no testing yet = at least 6 more months.

I was pretty excited to play cata in the alpha stages, and it was super unpolished. only 2 levels at the start, only vash and hyjal up for testing (and only 1/2 the quests) gear was all over the place (blue cloak from blackrock gave 150 str and 1337 stam lol). I say this because every single day of alpha/beta testing was needed to get the game were it was at release.
And I hope blizzard learned their lesson with the Wotlk expac and give monks the time and focus they deserve. less we have another DK pest spread = win spec at the start of MoP
If people are still subscribed for a couple months after MoP is released they'll be much more likely to purchase the expansion to give it a shot since they are paying for game time anyway. Would you enjoy sitting around for a couple months trying to scrape together groups for old content rather than experiencing the new stuff with all your friends and the rest of the playerbase? Not likely unless you aren't even playing.
