Today I learned that Neutron Stars are so dense that they can have a density equivalent to the mass of the entire human population compressed to the size of a sugar cube.

A teaspoon can hold 600 million tons.

The Empire State Building in the size of a penny.

Wow, you really do learn something new everyday.
Rather odd thing to know; but you never know, it could be a conversation starter!

    The math proves it.

    And that's all we know.

    No it doesn't.

ur star is so dense that even sunlight can escape its gravitation.

A hot cup of tea weighs more than a cold cup of tea.

Teleportation has already been achieved although they used a Photon.

Should the Higgs Boson exist (they have preliminary evidence it does) then that means Quantum Chromodynamics is true, which means that no matter how far you pull 2 quarks apart they have the same attraction to each othere, therefore it would take an infinite amount of energy to pull 2 quarks apart.

If you replace an Electron with a Muon you could potentially get bonding between a noble gas and something else due to the muon being 200times heavier than an electron therefore sitting closer to the nucleus, raising question abotu whether it will bond.

    I actually venture outside.

The laser in a DVD played goes through the picture bit on top and does not shoot up from the bottom.

The light stays off when you close the fridge door.

Gravity is the hand that pulls the trigger. The vending machine is just the tool that carries out its dark deeds.

you would be surprised how often a snack gets stuck in them. most people then have the reaction to shake the machine. then they get crushed beneath it because it topples onto them.

that's also not the most retarded way to die. every year, 3 US citizens die right after opening presents on christmas eve because they test a battery with their tongue. and in a similar vein, every year 10 people die because they eat christmas decorations which they think are chocolate.

    Pretty much.
The densities of neutronium and degenerate matter are extrapolated from particle physics and quantum mechanics (Pauli exclusion energy and whatnot) so it's highly accurate even if we don't have direct empirical examples on Earth. Not to mention the various processes used to determine star size, mass, spin, etc.

This one I can be pretty confident is wrong, as I have taken apart several PS2 consoles and the laser emitter is always UNDER the disc tray. Also, on many discs, the surface lets essentially no light through, and if that cover is scratched/removed then discs will no longer play as they have no way to reflect back to the reader.

Simply quoting my A level physics teacher. Be intersting to know he's wrong though as he's a very proud man I can use this to get back at him when he asks where my late coursework is. I may prevail.

I do, thats why I haven't done it, as I get distracted.

Anyways, back to more interesting and odd facts please.

More people are killed by icicles in the russian winter than are killed by sharks every year.
