How close do you need to stand to take minimal damage from the Red Phase? We constantly have people dying in red phases and I assume people aren't close enough.

I always stand right in the center of his hitbox whereas everyone else stands on the edge as they would if they were a regular melee dps. Is that close enough or should they move in to the dead center between the bosses feet?

There is not dissadvadtage to stand under, directly under, so just make them stand there, even hunters can.
