Religion and (especially) Politics sub-forum

I don't believe that threads regarding any nation's politics belong in the General Off-Topic section. I go there to talk about interesting, yet meaningless crap, not about how some lizard man is saying stupid shit to become president of some country I've never been to or how Evil Online Piracy Bill #126,950,003,540 will destroy the internet for realsies this time.

May as well toss religion in there with it seeing as it usually does.

Agreed, for the sake of organization, cleanliness and general glee, I'd definitely advocate for a Religion/Politics subforum. These two topics have entrenching issues, meaning that people care only for their own opinion on the matter and nothing else, so I see why it has no place on a gaming forum at all, but if it's going to be done, I think a separate section would do it well.

Where else would they go? Or are you honestly trying to argue that, because you personally find a certain topic annoying, no one else should be allowed to talk about it on this forum?

Don't get me wrong, I could also not care any less about political discussions. I also don't believe they're so big a deal that it's worth getting upset and making a thread over. There is no fair alternative that doesn't involve trampling the rights (see what I did here) of others.

Seeing as religion is a forbidden topic because there's always buttheads who get angry about it, you OP would just be asking for a Politics sub-forum. There are not enough Politics threads to warrant a sub-forum, and it will only die down after the US elections.
