Question HC Warmaster help and tips

This thread was created with intend to help guilds to progress on HC Warmaster 10 man.

I will start first. For us this fight is a first real challenge. We are 10 man casual guild (server 2nd /3rd) and already have around 50 pulls on this fight - and only once have we seen 2nd phase (barely for 5 seconds). Most of our pulls we wipe because people die due to twilight barrage. We use our CDs on each onslaught and really have anyone die due to them. However, due to a HUGE fire spread - it is very hard to position raid right and absorb any barrages at 3rd set of adds. Here are our logs: http://worldoflogs.com/guilds/118402/. Please feel free to make any suggestions - mean or friendly - but please be contractive .

Tips that are useful for us:
Start fight by doting gariona and then moving to the top of the ship to dps coming drakes.
Do not try to absorb barrages by yourself - they hit by a lot - even with elixirs and stone claw glyph i (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte.../Vepr/advanced) am dying to them, or our shadow priest with his PW:S.
Two players (even if one has a debuff ) should be very comfortable to absorb barrages.
It is easier for us to absorb as much barrages at the beginning then at the end.

    Should our dps be higher?
Is it the best to kill drakes as fast as possible?
    Anything you can suggest?

Few things that helped us alot :

    1) Tanks solo soak as much as their cooldowns allow it
    2) First set of drakes die really fast due to pre-dotting and casting on the incoming ones
    3) Second set of drakes melee, switches instantly on the drakes 1 on each side (we run 2 melee)
    4) Dk for the sappers is pretty crucial
    5) Rotate your cd's properly on the onslaughts, tank cooldowns are really helpfull here
    6) As silly as it sounds, keep a good eye on your dreadblade tank, that he faces the mob outwards and not to the raid
    7) Its ok if u go into the last phase with 1 or even 2 adds up, we went into last phase with slayer at like 70% hp and dreadblade on 10%. just be calm and swap sensibly

We did our first real tries on Warmaster yesterday and got to phase 2 and 40% on Goriona quite quickly. This is how we solved it:
We divided the deck into 3 zones with 3 in each (tanks + our 1 melee), 2x 3 caster groups and 1 loose to help out where needed.
The Onslaughts were solved as follows:
    1st> SP dispersion/Mage cauterize soak
2nd> Everyone - Tank raidwalls (Bearwall and Warrior 4 set)
3rd> Everyone - AM and resto tranq
    4th> Mage cauterize soak
    5th> SP dispersion soak

We went into phase 2 with about 15% health left on the boat.
Our Destro used his aoestun on the sapper that was slowed and stunned by pretty much everyone that could help out, they never made it to their destination unless we were already down several people.
Rather skip a barrage than risk soaking it alone! If you need to CR in the first phase you might aswell call it a wipe as 2nd phase is harder imo.
3 soakers can soak 2 barrages but have to use cds if they intend on doing a 3rd. 2 soakers should never attempt on soaking more than 1 at the time.

We tried to do whole mage/sp soaking of onslaughts while other people soaked the little ones in pairs or with CDs but found that it was just too hectic once the fight started progressing and on top of that its just hard to see with all the other crap all over the ship later in the fight. So what we do is always have everyone in the onslaughts while a few people take a few of the twilight barrages (SP will take one with dispersion, Pally will take one or two with dprot, I might take one with cauterize, a DK with AMS might grab one if its near the melee mobs). We found that to be much easier to coordinate and a lot easier on the healers as well. The caveat is that in order for that to work your dps has to be pretty good and the drakes have to die in one pass each time. Occasionally we wouldn't kill both drakes in 1 pass on the 3rd set of drakes and get a 5th onslaught and in those cases it was probably 50/50 whether the ship lived or died, but when you get them down in 1 pass each time the ship is fine.
