    Bioware's Patch 1.2 Q&A

Bioware addressed some hot issues and questions from the community, as well as outlining some of the features/additions coming in patch 1.2.

Instead of copy pasting everything, here's a link to Darth Hater's roundup of it.

Just wondering why you linked to darthhater instead of swtor? Highlighted answers?

some good stuff in there but i am sorry to see the intorduction of x-server pvp. with the addition of this it is only a foregone conclusion that x-server LFG tool will make it ingame by years end. the other stuff i am happy to see some progress on and can see that they are really trying to keep the low going, glad to see that new races will be added to the game with class/faction options.

to be honest i dont see any need for aguild cruiser at all, whats gonna happen is that everybody will be hanging on guild ships and fleet will become a ghost town and grping will be SO MUCH harder to get going

I go to Darthhater more frequently, just happened to see it there. Will add your link as well, though the highlighted answers does help.

I really meant no disrespect (I know sometimes it can be hard to tell in text), I was just curious

Well, that does adress alot of issues people have had. They are basically putting up four options + a counter for cooldown display. That's pretty much what a good addon would do, if it was well-developed. It's a good start and they at least react quick with changes. Glad to see a new warzone already. I will look forward to it. That and the legacy system, if it is any good.

I'm not a fan of X-server queues in PvP, but I've lived with it before. At least they won't reward you for going "random" or something.

There is common sense and ignorance. Choose one and accept the consequences.

Wow lots of good things coming soon.

I know it may sound weird but I am really looking forward to Hue to Chest. One of the features I really enjoyed about Rift was being able to change the color of your outfits. Kind of addresses the problem that some people have of looking the same as everyone else. Although it could be argued that everyone will just dye all their clothes black all the time, its still nice to have that kind of customization in the game.

I am disappointed that no new races will be available with legacy, but maybe with time more will come out. I am still waiting on more information, from a blue, about the availability of choosing opposite faction races with the legacy system.

Btw, there is a thread open already to submit questions for next week. They have announced that it will be a weekly thing.

I wonder if the' ranked warzone update' will feature a solo/due queue ladder or a teambased ladder.
The perfumed* boys he wrapped in chains and threw into the sea. They were unnatural creatures, and the ship smelled better once cleansed of their presence.

    NO fucking hell.

it was so good to go into a wz and know how much firepower we got just by the guild tags on our team. now we will have a whole bunch of people who hardly ever see one another and just being rude all the time.

    fucking retarded.

Yea i dont see the point in a x-cross server, why cant they just keep it like is now? i dont care if i have to choose random when joining a wz as long as we get new zones

Cross server queing? Fuck that. That's the fastest way of killing off server community before a community even emerges (second fastest is not having server specific forums)

I can't believe they are going into that direction. One of the most fun aspects is getting familiar with enemy players. I already know 3-4 Sith players that I now try to focus on and we usually end up in some intense 1v1 battles.

Nope, the LFG tool, in the same vein as WoW's, they have already said, multiple times, will NOT happen. It will never be Cross-Server, and likely never teleport you to the Flashpoint either. So, rest easier there. They do not like the idea of it for PvE at all. For PvP, it helps with keeping Warzones diversified and queues faster. I mean, most servers, if you are on the dominant faction, you play Huttball more than anything right now.

Even though i am not a fan of cross realm warzones cause usually it is alittle community breaking, putting you together with people that you might not even see ever again, which ends up with less care from everyone towards a common goal. I still think that with the population of servers and the amount of the servers, it is a necessity.
Other than that i must say, they had a solid and promising answers for each and every important question that is asked, i really love that.
Nice support incoming for sure, lets hope it stays that way with a pace that no one ever seen in an mmorpg. Cause this will ultimately do nothing but improve SWTOR.

Anyone knows if there was any questions that is simply ignored about the engine or FPS issues ?

I haven't taken a look at the thread yet, but I'm sure there were TONS of people asking and there's no way Bioware could field all the questions in one Q&A. This is apparently going to be a weekly thing, so more concerns will be addressed then.

As I understand it, the goal is 10 questions a week answered, but they admit the fielded 15 this time.

That's good, much better to get some sort of information out there on a consistent basis than having month+ long silences.
