So a friend was wondering if he buys the game and enter his credit card but cancel it like 1 2 days bef it ends will it charge his credit card

He can cancel it right away after he put it in. You only need to put in the credit card info to "activate" the free 30 days.

And no it wont charge anything after you cancelled it.

You can remove the "on file" payment details at any time.

But: I think there may be a £1/$1 charge (depending on your currency) when the sub is created to validate the card.

There is not. It's possible to validate cards without actually charging them.

Basically what it is (I think) is a hold charge. They test the waters to make sure its valid, then stop the charge before it goes through. Sometimes a card will be charged right away when asked, so they refund it. Like when you buy gas with your card. They put a hold charge for $100, (at the time they thought nobody would actually be buying that much gas at once), they see it is good, you pump your gas and then they actually charge you the amount you bought. Sometimes though, that $100 actually goes through on the card and they have to refund it.

I was never charged, nor refunded, so I stand by my statement.

I'm not jumping in to troll or to cause an argument, but my card was charged the 1 dollar and was refunded.

There will be no charges taken from your credit card. The credit card payment activates only after your 30 day free time experies IF you haven´t removed the sub before that.
