    Question Pacemaker?

So I went in to the doctor's to get a physical, and I had a pulse of 47. I am a marathon runner, so I didn't think to much of it, but the doctor made me get an EKG where it was discovered I have a "Junctional Rhythm". The doctor said if I ever want to work out, or do anything that would raise my heart rate again, I would need a pacemaker. Does anyone here have one? I'm really scared of getting it, does it feel weird/hurt? Can you notice it?

    Thanks for the help.

small google search told me you won't really notice it, without irritation to the insert point, so seat belts etc can cause annoyance. but you really should just consult with the doctor about it rather than ask here. and you shouldn't be scared of getting one, they are rather safe, and if he says you need one, it's prolly better to get it
