Thread: new psu

    new psu

    So my power supply started making terrible sounds and now my pc won't boot up the fans and stuff come on but the screen stays off. Anyway what info do I need to buy a replacement.

    write down your hardware info+the case you use so we know your case can fit a new psu.If you want it the safest way as possible just buy the same psu that has given up on you.

    Like wassabi said, there's no way for us to recommend a replacement PSU without knowing the rest of your PC components and what size your case is.

    Anything from the 400-499W section of this list will work fine. I personally recommend the SeaSonic X because it is fully modular, but if you need to save some money go with the Seasonic S12II or Enermax.
