    Eyefinity connections

Hi, so I bought myself a Powercolor 7970 and three cheap monitors (ProLite E2420HDS) so I could try eyefinity... Stupid as I am I didn't consider that I might have issues connecting three screens to a single card. I googled it and found out there's a difference between passive and active but couldn't figure out what it was, and the websites I usually buy from didn't specify. I went to the local stores and asked what the difference was and if they had it in, and they scoffed at me for thinking that the adapters could be active or passive =<. At the last store I was kind of desperate and the seller handed me an Apple mini displayport to dvi and said I could return them if it didn't work. And well, I can get two of the screens working, but not all three, and I'm guessing it's because the adapters aren't active. I ran into this vid on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgkwSjA8sH0, 08:34) where the dude says that you can run the Powercolor 7970 in eyefinity right out of the box, but I can't figure out how.

tldr; can I run eyefinity with the cables already included in the Powercolor 7970?

I'm not sure if the adapters that come with it are active, as far as I can tell just the one is. This one is what you want: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814999034

What this fellow here linked is exactly what you need, any saphire active mini-displayport to any DVI/HDMI connection. I think I personalet use a saphire active mini-DP to HDMI adapter, I can't double check as I'm going skiing today, but I use 3x BenQ 21 inchers, T2210. Should work with only one of those for 3 screens. Good luck and hope you enjoy Eyefinity, I certainly do!
