No Archer? This poll is very biased. I vote for Piacard though.
Riker was never really a captain, he only assumed command ona temporary basis.

I haven't seen much Star Trek, but from what I have, Picard is obviously the best.

Picard embodies Star Trek to me. Not that I've ever watched a significant fraction of any of the series, so my opinion maybe doesn't count for much.

Probably depends mostly on how old you are and what captain you saw on TV when you grew up. So seeing that more than 70% voted Picard, my guess is that atound 70% of the people who voted in this poll are somewhere between 25 and 35.

You forgot Archer, who is pretty good too.
But it's Sisko. I watched a Season 2 show the other day that opens with Picard painting a nude of a crewmember... and I just started laughing, considering that the episode I watch right before was the first episode of the Dominion War on DS9 (Call to Arms).
Early TNG is just so weird. Sisko is my kind of leader.

The only star trek series I've seen a lot of is Next Generation, so, Gonna go with Picard.
