How the heck do you draw a hair 'spike' pointing directly at the viewer. I'll be lucky to actually have any hair left at all by the end of this.

Meh. Drawing is one of those things where there's no shortcut to being good. So you have to put up with drawings that you consider dreadful before you start seeing results.

I have not gotten to that point yet. Having a constant stock of eye bleach really helps.
