Why is everyone so convinced this is real ?

One guy posts a pic, claiming it to be a screenshot....just as battle.net is down so nobody can check it and the stuff he wrote about being able to do it in game is not true at all.

Apologies if I've missing something but as soon as saw it I was sure it was a joke, but everyone seems to be going along with it ? I had to double check its not April 1st.

Let's be real here. Perhaps the reason why the login site for Battle.net went down "COULD" be due to the exceedingly high traffic because of the new Scroll feature.

Yepp, next flop to hit the stores! Most overrated crap I've seen in ages, it just doesnt have the "feel"..

Im sad WoW is dying (left it myself 7-8 months ago), I'm also sad that SWTOR didnt fill the gap (still subb'd but play like 5hrs/week).

I think ppl are fed up with the standard boring MMORPG formula and that's why GW2 will fail so hard it won't even be funny.

The companies need to reinvent themselves, we KNOW MMORPG now, we need something new, we need the new "thing" that WoW was 7 years ago!

What a nice suprise! It really was a good idea to quit just before Zul'aman patch went live and Blizzard seems to agree. Maybe I'll even pay for a month, just for the heck of it. Funny, this is like the fifth time I'm being rewarded for not playing. They keep sending me these free 7-day card every few months and using them wont mess up the Scroll of Resurrection (Well, at least not the old one). Now days that's all I need to get through most the content.

Next box that you pay for ? Thats what Guild Wars 1 did. Multiple regulare expansions.

Leveling to 80 doesn't even take long. I started a new character and after a few hours have it to level 20. It might be saving the person coming back like 8 - 10 hours. :\

You're bang on. People here are trying to flock to the next big thing and if that next big thing doesn't meet expectations, they're back to WoW.

If people are going to jump ship to another MMO, the moment you start comparing WoW to _____, you're not gonna last very long in that ______ game and will eventually come back to WoW.

As for the MMO genre right now, I look at it like the NBA slam dunk competition. Was great in it's heyday but the newer participants are trying to revamp the old stuff to make it relevant again. Now that competition is a disgrace. Nothing new has been in the MMO scene for a while.

WoW went all in during the last quarter and they still net a loss. Clearly SW:TOR being out for 7 days in that last quarter affected their sub numbers. If we really want to compare the two, the 1st QTR results will be quite the show. With WoW trying to offer this up to the inactives, something tells me that the 1st QTR numbers aren't going to be impressive.
