What are 2 best professions for max DPS?




I prefer Enchanting+Blacksmithing.




Because Blacksmithing give me more slot for gem and when I go Raids or Dungeons I can Disenchant my item.

I would have to agree on blacksmithing and enchanting for the same reasons. Enchanting give's ring enchants as well.

On the other hand, the chimera gems from JC are REALLY nice.

The cloak chants from tailoring pull a little forward than the standard 80 stat bonuses. I read some math somewhere that they are better.

Blacksmithing i top due to enabling epic gems instead of superior gems causing a +20 bonus to a stat compared to other professions. Jewelcrafting is at a 20 loss.

As 2nd engineering would be king for dps at least, for tanks anything will do

Engineering can be the best depending on whether or not you have on On Use trinket and the cooldown length of your particular class. If you don't use any Use trinkets and your cooldowns line up very well, then Engineering is best.

Tailoring can also be good, but it depends on your class. The embroidery doesn't stack with regular enchants as far as I know, so that's a downside.

Of the pure stat professions Blacksmithing is best if you use Epic gems. Even using just one epic gem puts it ahead of all other straight stat increasing professions. Jewelcrafting works the other way around. It's best if you have zero epic gems and is the worst if you less than 3 rare gems in your gear (i.e. mostly epic). Both professions have a benefit of allowing you to chose which stat you want, but for DPS this is always your primary stat.

The other professions (Enchanting, Alchemy, Leatherworking and Inscription) are all equal in terms of DPS, though they have different non-DPS benefits (respectively: ability to disenchant your own gear, free stat boost, cheap stat boost and another cheap stat boost that doesn't require you to get Terazane exalted)

Last in line are Skinning, Herbalism and Mining. All three are worse than the other professions.

Blacksmithing is always one of the two, the second profession depends on what you're playing.
For instance, as a Sub rogue the second profession is Engineering because of the synergy between the glove enchant and Shadowdance.

I'd almost say leatherworking with either JC or enchanting.

LW for the wrist enhancement, JC for the nice +67 gems / enchanting for the ring enchants.

JC is actually the worst profession looking only at boosts. Instead of all other professions giving +80 stat, JC is giving only +39 (because of epic gems).

Any1 who tells that JC is the best, can't count.

I would say - BS (2 bonus slots, so +100), Engi, then all other professions, Alchemy and gathering professions. And then JC.

JC IS THE WORST BECAUSE THEY NOW ONLY GIVE YOU +51 AGILITY / STRENGTH / INTELLECT OR WHATEVER YOU PREFER. Are you able to read that? or..?

Blacksmithing is probably the best due to the epic gems, then i would go for any other crafting profession except JC. For maxing DPS, the on-use glove enchant for Engineering is quite good. If you use it at the right time, it will be a lot more beneficial than the other professions. Tailoring is also recommended.
