80c sounds pretty chill for a 590, I'd be worried at 95c+ on either core.

Got this video linked to me today, it looks amazing but I would love to see it on a higher resolution monitor.
1920x1200 is so 3 years ago, bring on the 4K.

Looks like it's been recorded in >30 or >60 fps and then slowed down as well. Can't imagine the bandwidth and storage that'd require. Would eat through mechanical hard drives faster than I eat through SD-cards. :P

While I won't lie and say I wouldn't love to have 4K, it's mostly the "I want this"-thing. I've been talking and hugging 4K for years as the 'perfect resolution'*. And I still think so. I don't think I'd like to move beyond that in a reasonable timeframe (20 years?).
I think I'd have much trouble telling the difference from 1440p and 4K, and I think I'd just suffer at those resolutions. Ie, graphical horsepower would not be up to par. 1440p at 24", or 4K at 32". Then I'm good.

    * = Each pixel in 720p becomes 3x3, 1080p becomes 2x2, so it'd scales 'perfectly'.

Uhm your nzxt fans aren't outtakes? They're blowing air in. The big noctua fan should be turned, so the 2 outtakes can exchaust the heat. I would make the fan in the top of the roof an intake in your situation. Something else you can try is just turn your psu around as well, so your PSU soaks the heat from your gpu and immediately exchaust it but it's going to make your PSU run a bit hotter but just check your maximum wattage load you reach.

So i wanted to overclock the i5-760 a bit further, but at 4.0ghz i was already hitting 69deg on prime. So i had a day off today.
I knew there was a dent on the IHS:

    So i got to work:
    http://i.imgur.com/b9iA0rG.jpg
    I noticed it wasn't straight:

    Neither was the heatsink:

    Endresults:

So, was it worth it? Yes, i got it back to 64deg now. Got a little headroom now for 4.2ghz
My first go at lapping, how does it look?

I know it still says 68deg, but my cooler has a bit of a lag ramping up. What is now 64 used to be 69 when cooler was ramped up at 100%.
The max temp before was 72+.

Wait isn't 69c pretty darn cool for a Lynnfield? I read TJmax for that chip is like 100c lol. You should be fine.

They seem to protest at coretemps of ~80°C in my experience.

Apart from my motherboard slowly melting together (not as big of an exaggeration one might think), I'd hold onto my i5-760 forever. :P (My CPU-Z is currently reporting it as an i7-860, my coretemp says i5-750S and OCCT says i5-750. :P)
I can't seem to get mine stable at 4.2GHz without having to turn the fans up and feed it mucho vCore, and I prefer not doing that just for the ePeen (for me personally). I prefer running it 3.6-4.0GHz instead. It's still quite a % higher than the stock 2.8GHz, and the CPU is not really what's holding me back in games - in any game!
    The 4+1 phased motherboard, however..

Yeah i still love it, running a MSI P55-GD80 which has 8+2 drMOS chips with some nice vrm cooling (http://i.imgur.com/b8VkRid.jpg). Ingame the CPU is at 50ish @4.0ghz. Currently using 1.224V to get it on 4.0ghz, not sure if i can undervolt this. Will try tomorrow.

Generally i don't need the 4.0ghz, but in games like Borderlands 2 and Sleeping dogs i found it necessary to keep 50+fps.

The dent in the IHS also caused a jumpy temperature due to poor contact. And it got it down 4/5 degrees with the lapping, so mission accomplished ^^

    ---------- Post added 2013-02-10 at 01:11 PM ----------

Set it to 4.2ghz without changing anything. Gave a rounding error on core0. Bumped the voltage a bit, seems to not be failing atm. Will run a longer stability test later on.
So far temps still in the clear. Noticed i can drop the VTT a bit, that seems to really heat the thing up.

Here is one with the fan sitting on 25% at stock speed.

Senn 650s update/endorsement Going on about 40 hours of burn in so far from natural use, and its certainly loosened up quite a bit. Initially had an almost muffled tone, but things are tightening up and the soundstage is much more apparent compared to the first couple days. In addition, they sound much better than i expected from non amped sources such as my phone/laptop when I'm out and about. So far no regrets on my purchase.

Anyway blah blah. Main reason I'm posting. I'm trying to upgrade to a triple monitor setup, 22-24 inch 1080p thin bezel ~$200 and all that. Have been looking primarily at some choices from newegg. However I'm stationed in Korea at the moment, and the idea of spending almost the cost of a 4th monitor on shipping does not sound appealing to me.

So I'm wondering, does anyone know of any websites i can order from that will ship to an APO address that are in or near south korea, preferably in a language i can read. Granted if you know of a korean website i can get my coworkers to help me out.
