As the title says - how much do you need? Normally I just buy the cloak - but is there any specific number (like 4% hit rating)?
PS: I play disc priest 2v2 and normal BGs.

195 for pally aura / shaman totems, 240 to cap vs a mage with pally aura / shaman totem buff

For seriously? You need just enough to bypass the resistance given by shit like Mark/Shadow Protection/Resistance Aura etc.

Buy the cloak or the neck.
You need 195 as disc, but gemming is worse since you're trading your primary stat in exchange for it.

As Disc isn't any damage you deal going to be pure Holy? Holy damage requires no Spell Penetration because it cannot be resisted. I don't think Psychic Scream can be resisted either.

Psychic scream can be resisted...and is very much a pain in the ass when it is.
