It's not so much about how intelligence is defined, but rather, if the people themselves think that they are intelligent. Less actual quantifiable number, more psychology.

Smarter is awfully vague. I'd say I'm above average when it comes to things like memorization, book smarts etc. But if I see someone playing a violin with great skill they could be dumb as rocks when it comes to statistics and anatomy but I'd still consider them to be brilliant in their own way.

I wish I was not, but I am. No genius, but definitely smarter than most.

I think simply being able to use a computer and post on forums makes you smarter than at least 30% of people. As sad as that is.

ALSO: This poll may be skewed. I know this may be apparent to some; however, to others it may not be. Who goes to MMO-C? It is usually the "nerds," or whatever... "Nerds" are more likely to visit this site and are more likely to be "Above Average" in intellect.

Statistically, no more than 50% of people can be above average.

Yup, I know for a fact that I am. I pick up my Doctorate in Biology this September and I have a very successful career as a Military Scientist. The average person can not top that.

I love this question! Everyone will say "yes, of course", when you say it bluntly everyone is going to think you're arrogant, and every single quote of someone with a semi-critical reply is going to be met with an overly defensive reaction from that OP.

In my group of relatives I feel like I'm average, but looking at my education, what my interests are and how quickly I can deduce things, I'd say I'm on the "smarter" and of the spectrum. At least globally.
