    Warmaster Blackhorn 10HC tactics

Hello everyone I already made a similar topic but I don't remember how to find it again ._.
These are the log from last night http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-ujziux1cwaidhrne/

    Our current raid comp is
    Tanks
    MT http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...anzer/advanced
    OT http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...haggy/advanced

    Healers
    Hpally(me) http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...kkioo/advanced
    Rshaman http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...clous/advanced

    DPS
    combat rogue http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...rupov/advanced
    Arcane mage 1 http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...itina/advanced
    Arcane mage 2 http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...adran/advanced
    Arcane mage 3 http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...kyleg/advanced
    Destro lock http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...ezzan/advanced
    Surv Hunter http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...iller/advanced

Arcane mage 3 isn't in the official roster but we're having some issues since our old OT stopped raiding and that's also why our warr is so poorly geared.

Our RL had both the mages switch arcane for nuke the drakes but I think one of them should switch to fire if you agree please suggest me which one should go back to fire, there are more logs from the same mages so you can check them out.

Our deaths are mostly because of not avoiding charges/barrages or fire not despawning and everytime we enter phase 2 we are overwhelmed by the damage.
BTW we chose to soak barrages only if we could solo soak them but we tried to coordinate soaking in the last 2/3 wipes.
We lust on the 2nd drakes to burn them down since we don't have problems transitioning (last slayer dead before boss lands)
I'm looking forward to some phase 2 positioning and healing tips.ATM we have the raid stack on the right edge of the ship until goriona lands to avoid purple zones in the middle of the ship, then we stack our mages on the left side of the ship and the other ranged classes on the right, goriona and blackhorn are tanked between the stairs below thrall but we are hit by shockwave too often and I think we should position differently.

Do you think that I (hpally) should tank heal only during phase 2 ?
and how do you handle goriona debuff? We are thinking about chain healing him but since we didn't reach that part yet we can't know

Dont bother overthinking Goriona's healing debuff - that part of the fight should be over so fast that you'll barely notice it. Just AoE heal it off - chain heal - holy radiance spam on whoever it is. If it's on of your mages make sure the person stacks with the group.

If you're getting hit by shockwave youre doing it wrong. Most likely youre standing too far away from the boss, his shout interrupt is only 8 yards.,

As you said - way too many people are being hit by bladerush, there's no reason whatsoever for anyone to fail on that. Sometimes its tricky, but keep the number of fails on that to a minimum.

Lastly I just want to say, if youre making it to P2 the boss is more or less dead. P2 is a joke. With so many ranged though I really dont understand why the drakes arent dying faster and why you'd need bloodlust before p2! We do this (since the nerf atleast) with 3 melee, 3 ranged and we just make sure melees are hitting the drakes as well. Your group shouldnt have a problem with that. Just do more damage.
We use BL for the P2 transitition, just to get goriona down ASAP and get rid of her to minimize healing required

If the logs are correct, your warlock is doing next to no damage at all on the drakes.

Dot classes are amazing for Blackhorn due to being able to damage both Drakes while they are out of range. Sort him/her out.

Arcane mages are in fact very poor for this fight due to amount of mobility required. We use 1 fire 1 arcane for 3% damage buff, but I'd even gladly ask the arcane to go fire as well if somebody could remove Spine of Deathwing from this instance.

Your lock should bane of havoc (if I spell it correctly) Goriona at the very beginning of the fight so you may get away without any shadow patches on the ground at all.

We usually tank boss and dragon separately due to shockwave visibility issues, like boss in the middle of the ship and dragon at the edge facing away from the raid. Tanks swap after the dragon did his breath. That way boss isn't hidden inside the dragon graphics and everyone can clearly see where the shockwave is going.

Who do you think should switch to fire then ?

Arcane mages are dreadful on gunship as pointed already. I'd switch all 3 of them to fire, the 3% dmg buff isn't really gonna make or break anything. 3 cauterizes though are yummy.

Logs from last night,we keep wiping like 30 sec into the 2nd phase, the fire is often a mess and I (healer) have trouble healing people to full.
We don't know how to position the boss tbh,if we stack it on top of the dragon we can't see the shockwave and it's a mess.
Our tank is having problems taunting the boss,he keeps killing a nearby player

The beginning of P2 is the most hectic moment of the fight basically, because you likely still got fires around and goriona keeps doing void zones. If you had your warlock bane of havoc her at the pull she should be around 90% when p2 starts. Burn her quickly till she comes down and from then on it's pretty smooth generally. Don't be afraid to use raid cds for that initial chaos till goriona lands in p2, bloodlust included.

As for your tank having problems taunting the boss, that's pretty bad. If it keeps being a problem, tell people to be away from the landing spot I suppose, he always lands at the exact same spot.
