This is the set I am going for. I wanted it to feel darker, but I am pretty satisfied with this armor.
These are all the items from the set, if anyone is interested.
I. Like. To. Kill. Things.
For Pony!
Waiting on the belt/shoulders, but I think these work alright for now. I need to go get Blood Fury from ToC, or does anyone have weapon suggestions?

Here is a Monk Mog I put together. The cape doesn't totally match but I like the legendary cape and the big blue diamonds on the back fit with the theme.
Items:
Head - Membrane of Cthun
Shoulders - Poison Protocol Pauldrons
Chest - Decaying Herbalist Robes
Waist - Girdle of Fungal Dreams (You could also use Girdle of Night and Day from Heroic ToT which has a blue glow as well)
Hands - Fungus-Born Gloves
Back - Legendary Xuen Cape
Feet - Boots of Fungoid Growth
Weapon - Apostle of Argus
This is the weapon I use with that set, http://www.wowhead.com/item=78472#.

Not completely finished, but here it is.
I was going for an Orcish Blademaster with my mine.
I know when you think Monk, you don't think Blademaster, but if you look there's a lot of similarities in style and skills. Obviously I keep him brewmaster mostly, and use the right polearm to emulate a sword.
I just run around like this all teh time :P
I change far more often than is healthy for my bank, but this is my monk's current set:
cool xmogs got some really nice ideas now!
Personally, I'm a fan of the whole "Blind Monk" transmog sorta yes

Here is my current transmog setup for my monk that I've been using for some time now. One of my favorites that I have done so far.
Can't actually post as links at the moment, but here is two shots of it.

Want to get my hands on a Rattan Bo staff. As for dualwield, still not sure what I'll be using.
