Its popular to hate Michael Bay. Thats why so many people get all worked up and bash his movies
when in fact most people here probably thought 90% of his movies were awesome.

Stop pretending that you wont see it and like it. It serves nothing.

About the movie, i dont think it will be better than the original movie but im expecting

Lol where did you get those figures from? and why are you so defensive of the guy ;P seems pretty weird.

His movies are junk, the stories suck and we just get blasted with 90 mins of CGI, there isn't a film he's done that was decent if you ask me.

I won't see it and if I did see it, I won't like it.

His movies are awesome in what standard? If mindless "WOAH EXPLOSIONS!!!! HURRR HURR STUPID STEREOTYPE JOKES" are your thing, then maybe.

I am in the camp of "Michael Bay should not make this movie because he does not understand the concept.".

Sadly, those that consider themselves "Fans" of TMNT will guarantee that a sequel is made because they will go see this movie to "see how it is", giving Hollywood the idea that it is good.

Meh. While I'm not a fan of his movies, I don't hate the man. I hate the people that need to attack every movie with his name associated with it though. I remember when Friday the 13th was released, people were up in arms because Bay was an Executive Producer. Same thing happened again with the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. It's sad that people don't know the difference between producers and directors..

Oh boy... if his new TMNT movie will be just like Transformers, prepare for the worst.

    - April O'Neil will be the new Megan Fox slutty character from Transformers

    - Casy Jones will probably be played by Shia Labouf or someone look-a-like that'll hug all the screentime

    - The humans will be the main characters while the turtles are just some cheap background minor characters

    - Shredder will keep getting pwned, and he will be reduced to nothing but a pathetic slave to some other villain who sits on his throne doing nothing for the rest of the movie (DOES THAT LOOK FAMILIAR??? PLEASE SAY IT DOES!)

    - Cheap comedy will be a top priority with mostly overused sex jokes. The action is just a weak side genre

    - A few very small children will blow up the Technodrone, just watch. (DOES THAT LOOK FAMILIAR ASWELL???)

    - One of the turles will die, but with their magically alien powers they will ressurect him back to live...

    - Also, no human or other allied alien will ever die. Only the villains will die.

    - The humans will take 95% of the screentime, the turtles 5%. (wait I already mentioned this one in my earlier points... Well its worth mentioning again trough)

Just watch. Once the movie comes out, bump my reaction back and see that I'm right. Just watch...

No it isn't the popular thing to hate Bay, it is the accurate thing.
Bay movies and my personal opinion:
    Bad Boys-Good
    The Rock-Good
    Armageddon-Mediocre but entertaining
    Pearl Harbor-Awful
Bad Boys 2-Okay, not as good as the first
    The Island-Abysmal
Transformers- Watchable from a nostalgic viewpoint, not good
Transformers 2-Unwatchable, awful, terrible, The Fallen is in the movie for three minutes then dies "Revenge" my ass. Soundwave is a satellite and that is his only role in the movie.
Transformers 3-Everything I said about 2, multiplied by about 5. The movie was an hour too long. They could have completely axed a massive portion of the movie and it would have drastically improved. There was a glimmer of potential in the plot, then they covered it up with just terrible, terrible filler crap.

So as someone who truly despises the Michael Bay art of film making, I am a fan of exactly two of his films.

Unrelated, but things I would change about TF3:
-The whole "Sam needs a job" subplot. It is stupid and pointless. Why not make Sam a human liaison to the Transformers working for the government? That is exactly what he does anyways. Why include the whole portion of the movie related to him needing to find a job except to have him run into Ken Jeong and to have the scene where the hawk Transformer thing shoots up the office? That plot point could have easily been established by having Ken Jeong working for the government in some capacity at the Transformer's base of operations. The only other thing this entire section of the movie accomplished was to show that John Malkovich is crazy.
-Get rid of the whole love subplot. Damsel in distress, yawn. Does eye candy even serve a purpose in a movie about giant fighting robots and explosions? Not really. You can cut the entire section of the movie and have the Patrick Dempsey character work again, for the government at the installation that was featured in the movie. He could easily have been working from the inside of there. The only reason Same even has a girlfriend in the movie is so he has someone's name to yell beside Bumblebee when they are in trouble. You don't need the subplot of having to go save his girlfriend while also having to stop the pillars.
-Frances McDormand's character was atrocious. She is a fantastic actress, but the character was pointless and off putting. She served the cliche role of "person who stands in the way of hero due to ignorance or pride." Thats it. She is only there to gum up the works and provide exactly one laugh when it turns out she and Turturro are/were a thing.

They could have made the plot so much tighter and the movie so much better as a result. Instead it was fluff, fluff, explosion, explosion, etc. in all his films.

so much hating on michael bay.

"transformers was bad, it was just explosions, bad humor, no story and it ruined my childhood."

I'm sorry, I thought I came to watch a movie about robots from outer space fighting other robots from outer space. what more could you honestly expect?

if everyone hated michael bay the way they say they do, he wouldnt be grossing the amount of money from each film that he is.

    Get over yourselves.

While I knew they were in discussions about bringing back TMNT I didn't even realize Michael Bay was involved with it. I don't mind film makers changing source material as long as it makes a better movie but making the turtles aliens? Really?

I'll wait to see what the trailer has to offer but I will probably pass on this.

Again another Hollywood abomination about to be made. I want to ask these directors a question. Why the hell do you always want to change something in a movie that's based off of a famous video game or a classic cartoon or whatever? Why do they always feel the need that they have to change the story or plot to make it sound cool in their minds? The video game or cartoon your basing your movie off of is already awesome why fix whats not broken or why change whats already awesome? He needs to just stick with Transformers or make this a REAL TMNT movie not alien ninja's from space.

These directors need to either just make a movie with the same plot, story, characters, etc. or don't make the movie at all. They constantly think they can remake things and think it's going to come out awesome because it's new and "original".
