The most frustrating mechanic of the fight is in the third phase if Soa decides to toss your tank into a mind trap just as the pylon is about to fall on the boss, which causes Soa to suddenly chase someone else and move out from under the pylon. Happened to my op groups twice last week.
Can't you just have a melee DPS taunt the boss?

When the Pylon is about to fall melee is backed away or off killing a mind trap while the tank is positioning the boss under the pylon. Now if Soa puts the tank into the mind trap early enough it's not a problem, but if he does it a few seconds before the pylon drops on him, he moves out from under the pylon and there is not enough time to reposition before the pylon falls, basically meaning it's a wipe. It's basically just bad RNG, unless you want to take the chance of having a melee dps (since you generally don't run 2 tanks on Soa HM or NM else you run into problems with the enrage) with a taunt getting hit with pylon damage along with the tank for each and every pylon. The chances are higher that you would eventually lose the dpser, than the chance of having your tank thrown in the mind trap at the exact wrong moment.

Bioware just needs to polish their encounter design just a bit to prevent things like this from happening at critical moments.

If the pylon is about to drop then your melee should be ready to jump on the boss.
