have you considered complaining to a manager

or doing something incredibly doucheworthy, like pulling out your cellphone and saying "this sale is being recorded for quality assurance purposes"

Out here in gamestops we have, they are run by people who mostly know nothing about gaming, or hot chicks who know nothing about anything and are just hired by the horny managers to have eyecandy while they work. Its very rare you will find a gamestop in the US thats staffed by someone who knows shit about gaming.
This times a billion! I work for a local toy's r us as a electronic department floor man. And I have people come in there all the time telling me how the people at game stop either 1 dont know what they are doing or 2 really push people into buying stuff thats not good (Im look at you pspGO). Yes i know there are some good employees at gamestop but honestly the ones we have are complete idiots they are your typical MTV gamer. What i mean by this is they play the games that everyone else likes only because everyone else likes it. and dont even get me started with the pre order bull shit games do with gamestop now (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

thats good to hear though i think they should rather merge game and game station, or get rid of some of their stores, we dont need that many game / game stations so close to each other.

I got the impression that the stores they closed last week will stay closed. Only those currently trading will stay. Whether they rename them all to one or the other remains to be seen I guess.

I was going to post a topic about them being bought

Video games seller Game Group's British stores were sold to investment firm OpCapita on Sunday, safeguarding nearly 3,200 jobs, the collapsed retailer's administrator PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) said.

The private equity firm, which bought electrical goods retailer Comet last year, will buy all 333 of Game's British shops that have remained open during its administration.

It will also seek to re-employ a small number of staff who previously worked at Game's head office but received redundancy notices last week, it said in a joint statement with PwC.

OpCapita managing partner Henry Jackson said: "We strongly believe there is a place on the high street for a video gaming specialist and Game is the leading brand in a 2.8 billion pound ($4.5 billion) market in the UK.

"We have assembled a strong team of experienced industry operators to implement the programme of operational change that is needed."

Game Group collapsed into administration on March 26, with the immediate closure of 277 of its stores in Britain and Ireland and 2,104 staff made redundant.

The rescue deal agreed on Sunday does not include Game's international assets, PwC said.

It did not disclose the value of the deal.

    ($1=0.6259 British pounds)
OpCapita bought Comet for £2 last year
