Vent issues. Cant hear people talk out of new headphones

So yesterday i got the Steelseries 4H headphones/Mic for gaming and such (They are audio jack headphones not usb). But while in vent people can hear me talk but i cannot hear out of my headphones, Mute and mute binds is clicked off (im not that dumb). When i go to output settings the "speakers" option is clicked (Which is the green jack on my headphones, So i should be able to hear correct? But i am not. Someone help please, this is super aggravating

Some motherboards have separate output channels for front port and rear port. Make sure that 'speaker' in your case isn't limited to your motherboard's rear ports if you have connected your headset to the front.

try disabling the computers default playback device (usually speakers) and making ur headset the default/enabling it, then reboot ur system

that should work, always does for me

Yeah, im really stumped. Could this be a bad headset or a vent issue?

Hmm, have you tried recording yourself? Or maybe it's a matter or volume, most microphones need to be boosted/max volume.

You set about like this? Also, did you "enabled" the mic sound on your wire? (I'm seeing a YouTube video about your headphones, you have Off/Low/High settings... try setting it at high maybe?)

Yeah its at high, (Thank you all for taking a stab at my problem by the way) im actually not sure to what my soundcard drivers are. Its been a long time, but my old Razer headset worked fine, its this one where people can hear my loud and clear on vent but i cannot hear them, and when i go into test mode in vent i cannot hear myself talk. Ill try boosting everything.

    Never mind that last edit.

Fix it! Thanks all, but i guess stumbling around vent for 3 hours finally paid off.

if your new headset is usb, did you change vent input / output to use your new headset?
Still I cry, tears like pouring rain, Innocent is my lurid pain.
