    I <3 Madred's Bloodrazor

I always play Ezreal if I go AD carry. Then when I have tanky enemies I just save up for one of these bad boys and when I have the bloodrazor I start melting their health like an ice cube melts in close proximity to the sun.

Rape shit up with this bad ass item. <3

I find the cost to be fair because the passive is damn good.

4% per auto attack is extremely good, count that with Ezreal's attack speed bonus passive and you have a tank destroying machine.

    ^ Lol, love that picture.

Why get a Bloodrazer? That 4% extra damage is negated by MR. It's a stupid expensive item, and with Triforce already being practically core, you're shelling out a shit ton of gold for it. The AD is gives is lackluster, you can get a BT for 800g less and get more AD & survivability. You already have a 50% AS steroid & I've seen many more players starting to build Ezreal with PD. It's an expensive item that isn't worth it in my opinion, there are so many better item choices.

Lucidity, Triforce, BT, IE, PD, LW would be my ideal late game build.

Only if I have tanky enemies in the enemy team (at least 2)
And I never have built PD, never even thought about it.

And it might get a little resisted by magic resistance (didn't even think of that tbh) but it still helps to deal tons of damage. (why would all of the 4% of the damage be negated completely?)

Oh and BT is in my build standard, and I don't want to build 2 of them.

Why are you so against Bloodrazer? Pretty good item imo. Also you might be underestimating AS on Ezreal, even with your passive steroid AS is still useful, I can't understand how more AS is bad when you have enough AD already. Mentioning his passive all the time....true it is a lot of AS already, but why is more bad when you have enough AD?

But this is my opinion and playstyle, I simply play with more AS than some people find needed, and I find it helps and I like it.

Because it's a 3880g item that gets countered/resisted by something most characters should have. Think about it. A tanky hero will have MR since he is building tanky. You buy a Madred's to "counter" those heroes who are best itemized to negate it. It works fine on some champions like Kog'Maw & WW, because they have abilities that directly compliment it.

If I am going to blow that much money, why not get a Triforce, a much much superior item? It just isn't worth the cost & I would def not build it on Ezreal.

i just get them both....and I am present at 90% of teamfights. :P I still have enough time to farm.

And I play blind pick so the people there don't build MR most of the time even if they are tank. >.> Might have something to do with it.

I've found that Bloodrazor really only helps on a champ like Teemo or Warwick who stack AS/on hit, so its free damage. Against anyone with decent MR, it doesn't really deal a whole lot. I normally don't even build it on Teemo unil after my Mallet...

BR on Ez? That just sounds horrible man... Leave the br for kog or somthing.. Ez with an IE, pd and a lw is way better. Specially with a sheen goin into a tf.

@OP: You gotta remember that Ezreal has no magic resist reduction on his attacks. Since most teams have an Aegis once you get your Madred's, we can assume that all members of the enemy team have at least 54 magic resist. [Melees have more, since they gain some through levelups.]
At 54 magic resist, the damage you do to them is damage*100/154=65% magic damage. (This is with a pure AD team on your side, meaning that the enemy had no need to get some MR outside of Aegis.)
With that, your Bloodrazor will deal about 2.6% of the enemies max HP per attack. And that's only the damage you do against those without any MR items.

Let's say you fight against a tank. Tanks usually have about 100-125 MR against low magic damage teams. This reduces your BR damage to 2% at best, which, even if we're nice and assume the enemies have 4k health, only means about 80 damage per attack.
Now, truth be told, 80 damage is definitely not bad. Add in the armor, the base-ad and the AS and you're looking at a nice amount of damage... except that it's still far worse than an IE, a BT, a LW and, considering that we're talking about EZ, also than TF.

If, however, you decide to attack the carries or the support, as you're supposed to, then you'll be facing champions that have about 60 MR at 2500 health. That's 62.5 damage per attack, roughly. As long as you have a LW, it gets much, much worse than before in comparison to the alternatives.

    TL;DR:
BR is not a bad item. It's one of the strongest items you can get if the enemies are stacking health and armor but not magic resist. Still, as long as they can't keep pop you from 100 to 0, you'll be far better off by getting another Bloodthirster instead of the Madred's, since it does very much comparable damage while granting you heaps of lifesteal and sustain.
If, however, you are facing a normal team, one that gets some MR and knows that health stacking is not as good as stacking resistances, then Madred's will be a horrible item to invest money in. It usually is just not as good as the alternatives unless you're using a champion that can really utilize that additional attack speed. [As has been mentioned, Kog'Maw is a prime example.]
Still remember, though, that if your enemies get some MR then Madred's gets much, much worse than the alternatives.

Bloodrazor only shines when the either the enemy doesn't build MR or you build penetration (Usually malady occasionally sorc shoes) Otherwise its damage just isn't really there.

And then the enemy team gets a negatron cloak for 740 gold and makes your 3800 gold investment half as useful.

Wish I was low lvl still.

I take it on jungle Warwick. Bloodrazor and Wit's End make a heck of a combo with his ult since each of the 5 hits does 4%+42 magic damage totaling 20%+200 which is easily half the health of a squishy carry if you add the actual damage of the spell. Not to mention that these 2 give decent resistances as well as insane AS which converts to lifesteal through his passive, making him a beast at the ~20-25 min mark where most people have completed 2 full items.

Feel free to PM me about any question you might have regarding LoL.

LOVE it on Kog'Maw, used to build as core, but now if they have tank+bruiser at least. Shreds so much /drool.

AS caps at 2.5 attacks per second also, so that's why more AS is not always the best way to spend your hard earned gold =D.

Still leveling but playing normals is superfun with on-hit Teemo Built tanky? Ill rip you a new one... (Malady, Wit's End, Black Cleaver, Madreds + Frozen mallet combo) 25-3-12 last one...

I cringed everytime I see my AD carry get a Madreds as their first item or when the team has no bulky whatsoever.

I feel Madreds is very niche, only really good against shredding tanks. Youll get more bang for your buck if you just build like a typical carry.

Blood razer hasn't been good since the super tanky melee meta died out 20 months ago.

Something that seems to have slipped under the radar is the buff madreds got. It's a good item to ged if the enemy has lots of beef. Until very late in the game it will be hard for the enemy to build both mr and armor.

True, but Madred's is only good as the 5th or 6th item anyways.
Boots, LW, IE and Vampiric Scepter are the most important first 4 slots. Then you need to decide what to get, there's PD/TF damagewise for slot 5, GA/Banshee/QSS for slot 6.
Either get Madred's as #5 or as #6, your choice on what you can better live without.

I'll probably need LW more later on. In normal games, I just keep running into the same glass cannon builds all the time. Only one reliably building armour tend to be Morgana and Kennen with Zhonya's.
