Honestly it has to be a massive disaster, maybe aliens, but most likly a zombie apocalypse. Although normally I would assume by the end of this millenium there will be close to a world government, most nations of the world are already under some form of a regional agreement, aka nafta, eu, au, the organization for asia that i cant remember the name of, and china/japan/south koreas new free trade agreements. I think through economics we will see the possibly of world peace, what do you think?

It only makes sense, in this day and age us humans stick with out own and dislike the others. Race and religions is segregated beyoned belief. It has caused most wars and political problems known to man kind. If there ever comes a time where the whole world is in jeopardy, then will you see all races, religions, what ever you can think of to come together to save the ultimate price. LIFE.

well. there is no frame of reference.. so using quality fiction will be a good place to start.

I think humanity would have to be under constant threat of elimination for there to be any sort of "world peace", and if that was the case, the world wouldn't exactly be a peaceful place if existence could be wiped off the face of the earth at any time.

Hmmmm I'd think a Zombie Apocalypse would only further force people into a more tribal-segregated mindset. Especially when it comes to religion (Since zombies, death, scapegoating, blah, blah, ect....).

An insane military power that wanted world peace, and had the ability to stop every attack or invasion without any casualty's. I'm hoping that if we ever meet aliens, they have this power. Or everyone person in the world wanted it. I think the alien idea is more probable though.

You're pretty arrogant to think that humans are necessary in the equation.

True democracy, because atm there is no such thing even close.
2 major points:
1. Presidents/Pms rise to power through voting and things they do, not backed by massive corporations to push them into the view of the voters eyes. The choices we get for leaders are already predetrmined by the elite.
2. Tax brackets go higher and higher, in Canada the highest tax bracket is like 50% or something, and you get that making like 150k a year. Billionaires should be paying 99% tax imo, and i can bet that if you held a democratic vote to make the super rich give all thier money away, it would pass.

Basically through democratic voting for the redistribution of wealth from the elite to the rest of the world, we could get a little closer to world peace and the stars.
