DPS concern

Hello, I've been worrying about my subpar dps for the past week, and have come here for advice. I've got a log I'll share with you along with other concerns. My rotation has been changed a bit since the log, and I have obtained a nice new weapon.

The difference between myself and the other ret paladin in our raid seems great in terms of dps, but not as much in damage done.
I am required to stay out for the ultraxion fight twice, and Divine Protection did not work. I used it and died still. Survived the other time with Divine shield.
Please post some tips to help me do better this week.
How does HOW fall in your rotations? I thought it was the #1 ability, but may be wrong about that.

Regarding Divine Protection, did you use the corresponding glyph which increases the magical damage reduction to 40% at the expense of the physical damage reduction? If not, request another cooldown on you, like a Hand of Sacrifice from the other paladin(s) etc.
Yes, Divine Shield will save you since it makes you immune against ALL damage received (don't forget to include it in a macro with cancelaura to get back to full DPS immediately after HoT).
