    Insanity

Was curious if any1 else here uses this program?

If so do you like it? Why or why not?

Being a month in and the difference is great. Using the body as resistance makes every workout feel relevant. After I finish it up I will toss up my before and after for y'all to see.

I believe this is what the OP is referring to.

I'd bet the people would be not as strong as they were going in at the end of those 60 days.
    Catabolic as fuck.

AH thanks for the post. I stepped away for a bit.

It is a 60 day workout program from Beachbody. There is P90X which is similar. (90days, uses equipment)
I like a little structure and it require no outside items like dumbbells or pull up bars so that is a big plus.
Videos don't go over 45mins~ so even on a busy schedule I get a killer workout.
    Works the whole body.
    Forums are great and helpful.
    Super heavy on cardio.
High Impact, jumping and etc. So my friend with a gimp ankle can't do it with me.

Don't forget the nifty T-Shirt. Lol.

I think I would look silly, playing World of Warcraft with a body like that.

I need my lard to sustain through extreme gaming sessions.

Do you know how much people in different sports train? Casual fitness/bodybuilding fans are too afraid of overtraining, it's a myth. If you feel tired - take a few days off, but if you gradually increase volume of training - nothing bad will happen.

To get cut you have to lose fat.
You be in a caloric deficit + Do intensive cardio = you gonna lose a whole lot weight, but along with the fat, bunch of muscle will be eaten by the body.

To go catabolic from training while in a caloric surplus, you really have to go 'balls deep' hard.

Insanity is some form of masochism, I'm convinced. I enjoy the Insanity Abs, but the cardio... 15 minutes in and you swear you're going to die.

Sounds good, i obtained the DVDs yesterday and was going to try it today. The squits meant i will have to attempt it tomorrow, looks a savage workout though.

I began to think that after the Recovery Videos.

I've done the Insanity program and it works. I can do more of every exercise than I could going in to it.

Also, I preferred this over the P90x since the Insanity program is all body weight exercises and heavy cardio. The P90x uses pullup bars or elastic bands if you have no place to use a pullup bar and also dumb bells. Both are good systems, I just prefer this one more.

I've never seen any point in these "programs".

I'd rather not put my cardiovascular system under that much stress in order to save time. The body has limits, you can push those but I'd prefer to take things at a normal pace.

Just seems a little excessive to me. When did 4 day weights sessions, 20 minute 2 miles run and proper dieting stop being effective?;/

I didn't realize they had a program that didn't rely on equipment, hot damn. I've been struggling with makeshift stuff to fill in for the gear I need for p90x workouts.

It has nothing to do with saving time, it is just guided HIIT. Anyone serious about cardio does more than a 20 minute 2 mile run.

This isn't just to stay healthy it is more than that and how far you push is up to you. Anyways it isn't for everyone.
