Folks, first, thanks for the great forum. I finally bought my first non-brand rig. It is a collab of some of my old stuff, and some new stuff. Don't imagine I really need to OC given how I use this computer (work, vids, surf, gaming on medium settings).

I have never built a computer from scratch, and am unfamiliar with BIOS, and any type of modding. I am more than proficient at installing OS, and solving any non-physical issues.
1. What do I do first after installing all the pieces?
2. Any physical switches or changes required? (this could be pure conjecture, I've never had a "decent" mobo)
3. BIOS changes? (SSD)
4. Is this DDR3 Ram plug and play, or do I need to do any tweaking?
5. Anything else? Looks pretty easy...and I hope that is the case!
Sweet thanks. Also, I have never upgraded firmware. Is that something necessary? Eg firmware versus driver updates...drivers are necessary, are is firmware?
Only update firmware if you find it necessary; i.e. if it will increase performance or add a feature that you want. It follows the mantra "if it aint broke, don't fix it".
